Halloween X Three

Madeleine attended THREE Halloween parties, so she definitely got a taste (literally) of Halloween this year! First she was a "Gorilla Minnie Mouse" (I decided this home-made costume that a friend loaned me looked more like a gorilla than Minnie Mouse :). This was for a party being hosted by my friend Joyce - lots of single moms and their adopted little girls from China and elsewhere... Lots of fun but it was much too warm for a costume (esp. a gorilla!) that day. Next she was a Ladybug for the Halloween party at daycare -- those are the photos where you see several other children. They went trick-or-treating to some nearby office buildings. It was a hoot for the grown-ups, too :) She was also a Ladybug for the actual night of Halloween, but it was a slightly different Ladybug costume than the one she wore at daycare. I don't think there are any photos in this slideshow of that costume - but it looked a lot like the first Ladybug costume! -- But not as hot and easier to get off and on... important for a 20-month old! Other photos in slideshow are from an early October visit to a pumpkin/apple farm - M. loved chasing the chickens!
